Boris Johnson’s father Stanley Johnson has rated the government’s performance over the coronavirus pandemic as “B+”.
Speaking to talkRADIO’s Ian Collins he said: “I would say B+ or maybe A-, there’s no doubt about it, 100,000 people who lost their lives, you can’t be A+, but in terms of getting out of the wood we are getting there.”
“The proof of the pudding is that a month or two from now I think we’ll be saying to ourselves, well, it worked. It worked.”
Speaking about the EU’s handling of vaccines, Stanley Johnson said: “I think we are at a very intricate and intriguing moment here. And I suspect that the EU is going beyond its powers here in trying to interfere with a legal contract which this country may have with AstraZeneca.”
