Joe Biden will hit the road today for his administration’s “Help is Here” tour, which has seen top messengers travel across the US to promote the president’s Covid-19 rescue plan.

The president is expected to visit a small business in suburban Philadelphia as part of the tour, which has seen Vice President Kamala Harris visit a Covid-19 vaccination centre and culinary academy in Las Vegas.

Mr Biden signed the $1.9 trillion relief plan into law last week and now he is looking to promote how the package will “make a difference in people’s everyday lives”.

Meanwhile, election experts have said they do not believe his predecessor President Donald Trump is going anywhere, with the former US leader still maintaining a strong hold on the GOP.

Former Obama presidential campaign adviser Spencer Critchley has said the GOP is being “eaten alive from within” by Mr Trump, while Palm Beach political consultant Blair Brandt has said the former leader is “the presumptive frontrunner for 2024 at this time”.

Biden administration set to pass two key milestones in Covid-19 fight

President Joe Biden said on Monday that his administration is set to pass two key milestones in the effort to combat the spread of Covid-19.

Within the span of 10 days, the president vowed to see 100 million stimulus payments distributed as well as 100 million vaccine doses administered since his taking office in January.

His administration’s “Help is here” tour is mean to highlight the benefits of his $1.9 trillion Covid-19 relief package, while also amplifying his administration’s leadership on the nation’s vaccination programme.

Biden to join road tour to promote Covid-19 rescue plan

President Joe Biden is expected to join a country-wide tour to promote his $1.9 trillion Covid-19 rescue package today.

The US leader is set to visit a small business in Philadelphia as his first stop outside Washington for the “Help is here” tour, which kicked off on Monday.

Vice President Kamala Harris has already visited a Covid-19 vaccination site, as well as a culinary academy in Las Vegas, with first lady Jill Biden stopping at an elementary school in New Jersey.

Mr Biden signed the rescue plan into law last week, with his administration’s road tour aimed at promoting the benefits of the package. “Hope is here in real and tangible ways,” Mr Biden said at the White House on Monday.

As his government continued to drive its vaccination programme, he said his administration was delivering on “shots in arms and money in pockets”.

“That’s important. The American Rescue Plan is already doing what it was designed to do: make a difference in people’s everyday lives. We’re just getting started,” he said.
