Neil Oliver has said that Covid-19 is causing a generation of young people to lose interest in life.
Speaking to talkRADIO’s Mike Graham, the historian said: “My teenage daughter is talking to lots of people her own age, particularly girls. They are asking each other ‘what’s the point?’.
“That is desperate. I’m talking about ordinary people. People who were excitedly talking about university and travel. Without some kind of powerful intervention from the authorities, the generation coming up have internalised the idea that none of this is going away. My daughter doesn’t think that lockdown is going to stop. They’ve internalised the idea that lockdown is a fact of life.”
