Columnist Rod Liddle says he “would have expected at least one” of the group of Sky News presenters to have resigned over breaking coronavirus rules.
Speaking with talkRADIO’s Kevin O’Sullivan, the journalist referenced the media outrage at Number 10 adviser Dominic Cummings’ alleged breach and said: “If you call for somebody else to resign and then do much worse than what they did, you should resign.”
It follows Sky News launched an internal inquiry into presenter Kay Burley, after she apologised for an “error of judgement”.
She said she was celebrating her 60th birthday at a “Covid-compliant” restaurant on Saturday and afterwards “popped into another” venue to use the bathroom.
The gathering was reportedly in London, which is under Tier 2 restrictions.
