David Davis: Second lockdown will last six months

Cabinet minister David Davis has told talkRADIO his fear over the second coronavirus lockdown.

Speaking to Julia Hartley-Brewer, the former Brexit secretary said his fear is, “come December, we’re going to be doing this again.

“What we’re signing up for is not a one month lockdown. It’s more like a six month lockdown.

“The last lockdown we started in the second half of the winter. This lockdown we’re starting at the beginning of winter.

“It’s going to be hard to see how the government will get out of it without a hell of a lot of changes to their underpinning policies before next spring.”
