The X Factor judge Louis will be left momentarily speechless when Tom walks out on the stage to audition for this year’s competition.
Realising he knows who Tom is, Louis comments: “Tom, how are you lad? We know each other.”
“Alright, how’s it going?” Tom smiles back.
Louis continues: “You auditioned the same year as me right?”
“I did indeed yeah,” Tom replies.
Eager to find out what Tom has been up to, Louis asks: “Tell me what you’ve been doing for the last eight years, nine years, 10 years.”
“I’ve been busy gigging,” the 24-year-old explains. “Give me money and I’ll sing.”
Tom goes on to perform a James Bay track in order to impress the judges.
However, it is not yet known how Louis and his fellow judges, Simon Cowell, Ayda Field and Robbie Williams will react.
Viewers will have to wait and see if he makes it through to the next round of the competition.
Tomorrow night’s instalment will also see choir LMA try to impress the foursome.
The group from Liverpool arrived on stage to perform This Is Me from The Greatest Showman.
The choir was formed of musical theatre and dance students who want to showcase their talent on the singing competition.
Also on the show is Armstrong Martins, who reworks a High School Musical classic in order to impress the judges.
It comes after judge Ayda revealed she was surprised at how many contestants the panel said “yes” too.
“I think the talent is incredible this year, better than I could have imagined,” she told Daily Star Online.
“I was blown away thinking, surely, we must have tapped out all the talent by now?
“But this year was insane, I think we had the yeses in years because we had so many good people and we had to whittle it down.”
Will Tom, LMA Choir and Armstrong Martins manage to impress the judges enough to remain in the competition?
The X Factor continues Saturday 15th September at 8:25pm on ITV.
